Dedication Mail me at: chunkytrol@aol.com | The Last Will and Testament of Simeon OmansBe it remembered that I Simeon Omans of FairHaven in the county of Bristol Commonwealth of Massachusetts being weak in body, but of sound and perfect mind and memory, blesid be Almightly God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is today. First I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Lois Omans the improvement of one third of all my land including one half of my orchard, and one half of my dwelling house together with all my barns and cow, also all the sheep that I possess at my decese. It was agreed between me and my said wife Lois at our marriage together that she my said wife should have and retain all the household furniture that she said wife was possessed of and brought with her to my house and I hereby confirm said agreement. To my son Thomas Omans I have given by deed heretofore all that I intend for him to have out of my estate. To my daughter Susanna wife of Amos Bennett, I gave in fitting her for housekeeping after her marriage, all that I intend for her to have out of my estate. To my three Grandchildren the children of my son Jonathan Omans deceased, are Othaneil Omans, Thomas Omans, and Sophia Omans, I give one dollar to each of them. I give to my two sons Job Omans and Joshua Omans to them their heirs and asigns forver all my Real Estate excepting one half acre hereafter to be mentioned, together with all my wearing apparel. They my two last mentioned sons Job and Joshua are to pay all my just debts that I shall be oweing at my decease and charge of setting my estate. I give to my grandson Rodney son of my daughter Lydia Peirce one half acre of land to be measured off the southwest corner of my land or homestead. I give to my daughter Lydia wife of Joseph Peirce all my personal estate consisting of all my household furniture and other personal estate not before disposed of. Lastly I hereby appoint my son-inlaw Joseph Peirce sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the Twenty-third day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand EightHundred and fifteen. Signed, Sealed, Published and Declared by the above named Simeon Omans to be his last will and testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses to the same.
